About the project
The reception desk of a dental clinic has two heights: a lower work surface where the staff sit, and a higher counter facing the patients. What the patient sees is brushed stainless steel; the surfaces under the hands are dark wood.
Cladding without sharp edges
At the ends of the desk the stainless steel cladding does not break into a sharp corner but bends around a rounded one — at the lower end and on the higher section alike. The desk has no sharp edge, and the front reads as a single piece.
Wood on the staff side
The dark wood of the work surface continues up the face of the higher section and across its top. The staff have wood in front of them; the patient sees steel.
