Gaming club in Bratislava
A gaming club in Bratislava: computer desks and booths, a bar counter, column casings and shelving. A dark palette — black, grey and silver — with pink light along the edges.
About the project
In a gaming club the screens do the shining, and the furniture does not compete with them. It keeps to a dark, quiet palette — black, grey and silver — and colour enters the room as pink light along the edges of the panels, the counter and the ceiling. Among the furniture, only a few red shelves and frames carry colour.
Desks and booths: a top that turns down to the floor
The computer desks have a grey top with a stone-like pattern. At the end the top turns down and continues as a side panel all the way to the floor, so the end of the desk reads as a single block. The computers stand under the top.
Along the wall, the places are divided into booths. Black frames hold dark partitions between the players; the partitions are cut at an angle, and pink light runs along the cut edge. The same light also runs above the booths, just below the ceiling.
Bar and lounge corner
The bar counter stands on silver fronts. Above them is a glossy black band with the club’s backlit logo, and below the band a pink line of light traces the corner of the counter. The counter top is grey, like the desks in the hall. The same logo glows on the black wall behind the counter, between the fridges.
In the lounge corner, open red shelves hang on the wall, and beside them stands a tall silver cabinet in the same silver as the bar fronts.
Columns
The columns in the hall are hidden in casings of tall panels: one silver with the club sign, another black with an open frame shelf. Pink light glows above each of them. By the street windows, racing simulators stand beside them.
